Depending on the thickness of the marker, they can be described as being either flush or bevel. Flush markers are about 3-4 inches thick and are installed level with the ground. Bevel markers are 6 inches or more thick. They are cut so that when installed, they are sitting above ground at an angle. Markers come in a variety of sizes, the standard being 2 feet long and 1 foot wide. You can add to the appearance of a flush marker by adding a core hole for an in-ground vase unit or adding a base to go underneath a bevel marker for added height.
